Literacy Skill Focus: Comprehension, Vocabulary Development, Making Connections

Give your students a list of words. I would suggest at least 5 words but no more than 15. Then, have them create a word web that connects the words by their relationships to one another. You can have them write a paragraph as an extension activity to explain their thought process. You can also have them write words on the lines that connect the words (ex: “is an example of…”). This activity demonstrates student understanding, helps them create relevant connections, and reviews vocabulary.
